For DAT602 we have to read three paper which are linked in to the internet of things , upon reading the first of the three paper "BEHAVIOURABLES AND FUTURIBLES" I find myself struggling to understand the way in which the paper is written and some of the languages used. The original paper is written in 1967, making the paper itself old but the ideas in the paper can still be relevant today from what I can understand of it.
The paper says "Just as our environment becomes more and more automatic, so our habitually automatic becomes less taken for granted and more conscious and examined" back one the paper was written technology was nowhere near integrated into our lives as it is now so this point I would say is still relevant to today's way of living and thinking. it says how the environment is becoming more automatic now is the author implying that it’s the physical environment is becoming more automatic like when the see tide is coming in or in the sense that technology will tell us when the tide is coming in without the need for us to go and check our self s ?
