So one big element to this idea of mine is to overlay video footage in real time within the dome. I have looked into a number of ways of doing this, the first of them being processing. Although it was possible to get a live video feed into processing the video had a lot of lag so the video was not fluent. The other problem was the dome correction library would not dome correct a video layer so the footage would appear distorted.
I then moved into looking at live video feed into after effects as it has a dome correction plug in. I looked online and nowhere had anything I wanted until I came across this website.

As the website said the plugin was now discontinued and only the free trail was available which had a water mark on it. I went out on a whim and emailed the creator to see if I could possibly have the full version for free. To my surprise I had a replying saying that if I tried to the demo and I liked it to email back and he would send me the full version for free.
I tired the free version so emailed and received the full version one day later. The plug in allowed me to use any webcam for the live video feed and change its resolution. To my surprise almost every effect also worked with it.
So that’s one part down and a few more to go.
