The props
The finale props or elements in this performance that i will be using consists of soil,water,blood,skull and a feather duster. Each of these items serves a purpose in the performance. The soil represents the burial of the hands, allowing the hands to be buried alive while at the same time the different textures and elements that is in the soil i'm hoping will make the user uneasy and a bit jumpy.Water in this case is being used to show the bodily fluids that are released upon death along with decomposition. The water when mixed with a soil gives the texture of slime which from my demo’s confuses the user and starts to freak them out.Next we have the blood and skull which are used at the same time. as this is a hand coffin it would be right if there wasn't the remnant of a dead soul in the coffin.The skull is showing the remains of the person left being to rout forever in a dark windowless prison. When mixed with the fake blood it represent the blood line that is based down that although something is dead that does not mean a part of it is not with us today. Lastly is the feather duster, this is to represent a crow which are at graveyards but the duster is not used on the hands but on the face. I choice this because after experiencing everything through their hands the user’s face would not be expecting to be brought into the experience and as a result brings the user out of the experience back to the land of the living.
